I don’t know if the Google Docs developers are intentionally doing it or is it really the way to develop Google Docs into a full-blown web based desktop applciation?

I believe Linux will become the de-facto standard desktop operating system. Though it’ll take a while for many users to break free from ties to Windows, there is good reason to believe that this day will come

Everex is launching its gPC “Google PC” today at Wal-Mart stores for the low price of $200. The gPC runs off of a mix of Ubuntu Linux, Google Applications and Open Source software like OpenOffice to offer fully functional applications at an affordable price
